These days smoking is a hot topic, whether the government should banned it, or not. many people have watched ciggaretes harm their loved ones or even struggled with ourselves. We often see the warnings, the "no smoking" campaign andthe “No Smoking” signs plastered everywhere. the truth is cigarettes aren’t just a bad habit. They’re disasters for our health, our wallets, and our communities. It’s time to ask ourselves—how many lives are we willing to lose before we finally banned it, and what if that's too late because the majority of the world have been addicted to ciggarete? Of course the government should have been take this matter more seriously before that

have you ever seen someone in a hospital waiting for their loved one, and watching them grasp for breath because of ciggarettes. Or burying a family member who died far too young from lung cancer. This isn’t just a fiction scrnario, in fact it’s happening daily. The World Health Organization says tobacco kills 8 million people every year. That’s like wiping out an entire major city. And it’s not just smokers paying the price. Secondhand smoke still claims over a million lives annually, including babies and kids who never chose to light up. When does personal choice become a threat to everyone else’s right to breathe clean air?

let's be real, ciggarette isn’t about “freedom.” Tobacco companies have spent decades targeting kids with candy-flavored products and pouring ads into poor neighborhoods. They’ve engineered cigarettes to be addictive, knowing most smokers start as teens. it really almost the same as narkotic that banned from long time ago. Is that really free choice? We banned lead paint when we realized it was poisoning children. We took asbestos out of homes. Why treat cigarettes differently? It’s not about controlling people—it’s about protecting those who's not smoking from the effect too, and to protect those who still isn't smoking yet from a lifetime of addiction.

maybe we think that even if the government banned it, some people will still buy it legally. well, Maybe a few. But look at countries like Bhutan that banned tobacco sales—smoking rates plummeted. Enforcement works when there’s public support. And yes, vaping exists, but replacing one addiction with another isn’t a solution. Those rainbow-colored vape pens? They’re just targeting the younger generation by making it more attractive, and saying it is healtier than ciggaretes

This isn’t about judging smokers—many are trapped by an addiction that started before they understood the risks. It’s about refusing to let corporations profit from destroying lives. Every day we wait, another 2,200 Americans die from smoking-related illnesses. How many more empty chairs at dinner tables do we need before we act? This thing often taken lightly but they are the same, if not more dangerous than any narkotic out there

Banning cigarettes isn’t about taking away choices. It’s about choosing life—for our neighbors, our kids, and generations we’ll never meet. The science is clear. The moral case is undeniable. Now we need the courage to do what’s right.
